Saint Jude is the patron saint of lost causes. Traditionally, he is the saint people turn to when every other option seems to have failed, in moments of desperation and the need for a miracle.

This blessed candle is handcrafted by Brenda as a light for hard seasons: light it, pour out your heart honestly, and ask for strength, hope and a way forward. Never leave a flame unattended. Blessed Be.

  • How to work with your Saint Jude candle

    1. Write your petition on paper — one situation, said plainly and honestly.

    2. Set the candle on a heat-safe dish with the petition underneath. Many add a glass of water or a small offering.

    3. Light it and say the prayer below (or speak from your heart). Sit with the flame a few minutes.

    4. Snuff (don't blow) when you step away, and relight each day. Many people pray for 9 days in a row, a traditional novena.

    5. When you feel heard, keep the long-standing custom: thank Saint Jude and share his name, so others know where to turn.

Timing: his feast day is October 28, but there is no wrong day to ask for hope. Never leave a flame unattended.

  • A simple prayer to Saint Jude

Saint Jude, faithful friend and helper in hopeless cases, I come to you in my need. Please carry my petition: (name it). Give me strength, patience and a way forward, and I promise to remember this favor and share your name with gratitude. Amen.

  • Pair it with

  • What is Saint Jude the patron saint of?

Lost, hopeless and desperate causes. People traditionally turn to him when it feels like nothing else has worked.

  • When is Saint Jude's feast day?

October 28 (shared with Saint Simon). Many light his candle that day, but you can light it any time you need hope.

  • What is a Saint Jude novena?

A prayer said for 9 days in a row. Light your candle each day as you pray, and snuff it safely in between.

  • What do I write on my petition?

One situation, in your own words. Be honest about what you need — strength, a breakthrough, peace with the outcome.

  • Do I have to be Catholic to light it?

No. Saint Jude is honored by people of many paths; come to him with respect and an honest heart.

  • Is this a guarantee my situation will change?

No. This is a spiritual practice for hope and strength, not a promised result, and never a substitute for medical, legal or financial help.
